HAWAII APOSTILLE
Apostille Services in Hawaii — Fast, Secure, Nationwide
For Hawaii residents planning a move abroad, marrying overseas, pursuing dual citizenship, or filing corporate paperwork internationally, apostille authentication is handled through the Office of the Lieutenant Governor of Hawaii. Hawaii apostilles are issued by the Office of the Lieutenant Governor in Honolulu — not the Secretary of State — a legacy of Hawaii's unique territorial-era government structure. We manage submission, tracking, and international return shipping.
Service fee includes state filing fees and U.S. domestic return shipping via 2-day FedEx (UPS used for federal documents only). International return shipping available for an additional fee.
No payment required to request a quote. We confirm your document's processing route, total price, and estimated timeline before payment.

Hawaii requirements to know
- Under the Hawaiʻi Lieutenant Governor's current rules, birth, death, and marriage certificates issued on or after January 1, 2025 can be submitted directly if they bear the State Registrar's signature and the Department of Health's embossed seal.
- The state generally requires records issued before January 1, 2025 to be reordered from Hawaiʻi Vital Records before it will apostille them. This is a state requirement, not a GFG policy.
- Hawaiʻi does not offer expedited apostille processing.
- An application must be completed through the Lieutenant Governor's online portal and printed to accompany the document.
Once you have the eligible document, GFG can review it, coordinate the apostille process, and arrange tracked return shipping. Additional certification requirements may apply depending on how the document was issued.
