Georgia requirements to know
- GSCCCA is the only state agency authorized to issue apostilles for Georgia documents used in Hague Convention countries; the Georgia Secretary of State issues Great Seal certification only for non-Hague countries.
- Notarized documents do not require additional county certification before obtaining a GSCCCA apostille.
- Payment must be by check or money order payable to GSCCCA (credit card accepted only via the online Authentication Pre-Payment Voucher system, which adds a 3.5% processing fee).
- You must enclose a self-addressed stamped envelope or prepaid overnight delivery label/airbill for return of documents.
Once you have the eligible document, GFG can review it, coordinate the apostille process, and arrange tracked return shipping. Additional certification requirements may apply depending on how the document was issued.
